The Federal Government last Thursday launched a new pay TV, Silver Lake Television (SLTV), affirming that it would provide Nigerians with value for money.
Speaking at the unveiling, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume, stated that its establishment aligns with the aspirations of Nigerians to “benefit from the abundant opportunities awaiting investors in the Nigerian economy.”
“SLTV has responded very loudly and clearly, and from the information made available to me, they are willing to give their fellow compatriots real value for their money regarding service quality and affordability,” Akume said.

On SLTV
SLTV is a home satellite TV platform operated by Metrodigital Limited.
The managing director, Dr Ifeanyi Nwafor, said it was interested in the country because “the Nigerian government has shown strong commitment to taking down the monopoly that had impeded the growth of pay TV in Nigeria.”
Package
SLTV has a programming mix of 55 channels and pricing starting at N2,500 for the basic plan and N5,000 for the gold plan.

SLTV has different categories of programmes, such as entertainment, movies, kids fun and sports.
