The Governor of Ondo state, Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, the Chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo state, Engr. Ade Adetimehin and other stalwarts of the party on Thursday, stormed Akoko land to rally support for the party’s House of Reps., candidate in the saturday House of Reps, by-election, Ife Ehindero for the vacant seat of Akoko North East/North West Federal Constituency at the green chamber.
<span;>The rally which marked the end of campaign activities for the party was held at the Cenotaph in Ikare Akoko, the headquarter of Akoko North East local government.
<span;>The House of Representatives seat became vacant after the former occupier of the position, Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo was appointed as a Minister by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
<span;>While addressing the crowd, Governor Aiyedatiwa appealed for unity among the party leaders and constituents to win the election for Ehindero and the All Progressives Congress. He assured them that Ehindero is capable of representing the constituency effectively.
<span;>The party chairman in Ondo state Engr. Ade Adetimehin, Chief Olusola Oke, Rt. Hon. Mayowa Akinfolarin, Sen. Jide Ipinsagba, Hon. Timehin Adelegbe and other leaders who spoke at the rally charged voters to come out on Saturday to vote for APC candidate.
<span;>In his speech, Ife Ehindero appreciated Governor Aiyedatiwa and the party Chairman, Ade Adetimehin for the quality leadership they have shown so far in ensuring victory for the party. He assured the constituents that his programs have been designed to continue the development of the constituency which was initiated by Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo.
<span;>Meanwhile, the youths in the Federal constituency also commended the Minister of Interior, Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo for the good legacies he laid while representing the constituency at the Green Chamber. They, however expressed confidence in the capacity of the APC’s candidate, Ehindero to continue the Tunji-Ojo’s good works.
<span;>The youths who have earlier held a joint solidarity rally in support of Ehindero urged the constituents to reward the APC for the beautiful work done by Tunji-Ojo by voting the party again on Saturday.
<span;>Other leaders of the party who were present at the rally included the Deputy Governor, Chief Olayide Adelami; former Deputy Governor, Alhaji Lasisi Oluboyo; Senator Jide Ipinsagba; Otunba Gbenga Elegbeleye; Chief Gbenga Ale; Hon. Fatai Atere; Hon. Toyin Japhet; Hon. Muyiwa Asagunla; Hon. Apalowo Thalis; the party Chairmen in Akoko North East and Akoko North West local government areas among others.
