A member of the House of Representatives that represents Owo/Ose Federal Constituency, Hon. (Dr.) Timehin Adelegbe has congratulated His Imperial Majesty, Oba Ajibade Gbadegesin Ogunoye III, on his appointment as the Chancellor of the Federal University of Science and Technology, Babura, Jigawa state
The lawmaker noted that the appointment by the President, the Senate Council, Management, Staff and Students of the institution is a well deserved honour and a right choice made.
In a statement made available to newsmen on Saturday 4th of May, 2024 in Abuja, his media aide Mr. Wale Akingbade said, the lawmaker attributed the monarch’s appointment to the commitment towards human, community development and unwavery interest in the unity of the country, Hon. Adelegbe lauded the President for recognising the exceptional leadership qualities and passion for service delivery discovered in Oba Ajibade Ogunoye for the appointment.
The ranking member of the national assembly also described the monarch as a visionary and a progressive personality in the society who has brought peace and development to the Owo Kingdom and beyond.
The legislator expresses confidence in the capacity of Olowo towards bringing the desire development to the academic and research pursuits of the institution through his wealth of experience and sound wisdom.
“Let me say a very big congratulations to our reverred monarch, Oba Ogunoye on his recent appointment as the Chancellor of the Federal University of Science and Technology, Bubara all the way in Jigawa State.
“Your appointment to this exalted position by the President, the school council, management, staff and students of the institution is a well deserved honour and right choice made.
“Of a truth, it didn’t come to us as a surprise considering your meritorious service during your period of service in the state rising to an enviable rank and the peak of your career as a permanent secretary.
“I must also commend our President, Asiwaju for reposing confidence in your exceptional leadership and commitment to the development of our people and the society at large.
“You have demonstrated leadership and excelled in all that has been entrusted to you in the past, therefore, we are confident that you will bring your experience over the years as a king in turning the citadel of learning into a global institute.
“On behalf of my family and the happy people of Owo and Ose, I wish our amiable King, Olowo, a success in the additional role he is expected to play towards adding value to the education sector in Nigeria.”
Hon. Adelegbe prays more of God’s guidance and wisdom for the monarch’s successful tenureship as the Chancellor of the institution.
