Hon. (Dr.) Timehin Adelegbe, the lawmaker representing Owo/Ose Fed. Constituency at the National Assembly Abuja has congratulated his close friend, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Ayedatiwa, the Governor of Ondo state as the gubernatorial flag bearer of the party, APC, for the November 16, 2024 governorship election.
He equally hailed the national working committee on the outcome of the special convention for Governorship primary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo state.
In a press Statement released by his media aide, Wale Akingbade on Monday morning 21st of April, 2024, the lawmaker commended the national working committee of the APC for the conduct of the primary led by Governor Ododo of Kogi state which announce Ayedatiwa as the winner of the primary.
“I congratulate my brother, friend, the incumbent governor of Ondo state, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Ayedatiwa for clinching the ticket of our party.
“In same vein, our great party, APC, must be commended for the successful conduct of this primary election.
“No doubt, the party has displayed total commitment to the ethos of democracy and embraced fairness.
“For me, the contest is between brothers within one big family, where all participating aspirants, leaders and members of the party must now leverage on our political strength to build a more unified party and reposition it for even greater victory.
“It is time for us a true congress men to identify and underscore our challenges for the greater good of the people.
“The time is now for the flagbearer to reconcile all weary factions and this is the time for the Governor to right the wrongs of yesterday and form a common front for the victory of the November 16 election.
“As a leader, it is time to galvanize supports and calm frayed nerves. The reconciliation process must start immediately. The time has come to be united in order to defeat the major opposition party.
“We have a big task ahead. Let us put the past behind us for the greater objective to oil the wheel of peace, progress and unity in our party. We must all win together”, Adelegbe added.
