…..Discusses Governor Aiyedatiwa’s intention for growth and progress of Ondo State

In a significant display of respect and strategic outreach, the Majority Leader of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Honourable Oluwole Emmanuel Ogunmolasuyi, embarked on a crucial visit to the royal palaces of esteemed traditional rulers within Owo Local Government Area. This visit, which took place yesterday, was aimed at garnering support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its candidate, Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, who is vying for re-election in the upcoming November gubernatorial election.
The Majority Leader, Honourable Ogunmolasuyi, began his royal tour with a visit to the palace of HRM Oba Ajibade Gbadegesin Ogunoye III, the Olowo of Owo. The Olowo, as the supreme traditional ruler of Owo, holds a place of profound influence and reverence within the community. Honourable Ogunmolasuyi expressed his deep appreciation to the Olowo for his unwavering commitment to the peace and progress of Owo, acknowledging the pivotal and respected role His Royal Majesty has played in ensuring the stability and prosperity of the region.
Honourable Ogunmolasuyi, during his audience with the Olowo, emphasized the importance of the upcoming gubernatorial election and the need for continuity in leadership. He lauded Governor Aiyedatiwa’s achievements and vision for Ondo State, asserting that the Governor’s re-election would further solidify the progress made in recent years. The Majority Leader solicited the Olowo’s support, recognizing that the Olowo’s endorsement is invaluable, given his esteemed position as a custodian of tradition and a beacon of unity within Owo.
“In his response, the Olowo reaffirmed his commitment to the peace and development of Owo, pledging to continue supporting efforts that align with the best interests of his people.”
Following his visit to the Olowo, Honourable Ogunmolasuyi proceeded to the palaces of other respected traditional rulers. He visited HRM Olufemi Joel Adeluwoye II, the Asuada of Isuada, where he reiterated his message of unity and progress. The Asuada, known for his wisdom and leadership, was commended for his contributions to the peace in Isuada and his unwavering support for the community’s development.
Honourable Ogunmolasuyi also paid homage to HRM Ebenezer Adewumi Ogunmolasuyi II, the Olupenmen of Ipenmen, and HRM Alayeluwa Oba Kokumo Oluwabamise Olotu Upa Ogbomaga III, the Alale of Idasen. In each of these visits, the Majority Leader emphasized the crucial and invaluable role that the traditional rulers play in maintaining peace and stability, acknowledging their support as instrumental to the success of the APC in the forthcoming election.
The visit was not limited to kings alone; Honourable Ogunmolasuyi also met with Chief Mrs. Iwaloye Funmilayo, the Iyaloja of Owo. As a high chief and a formidable leader within the market community, Chief Mrs. Funmilayo’s influence is widely recognized. The Majority Leader appreciated her unwavering dedication to the welfare of the market community and sought her continued support for the party’s candidate in the upcoming election.
Honourable Ogunmolasuyi believes the royal tour is essential because of the vital role that traditional institutions play in the socio-political landscape of Ondo State. His engagement with the royal fathers was to reaffirm his deep respect for the region’s cultural heritage and a strategic effort to unite all stakeholders towards the common goal of ensuring a peaceful and successful electoral process.
