Three suspected kidnappers have been reportedly nabbed along Ugboke Road in Ifon, Ose council area of Ondo state.
They were caught on top of a brand-new motorcycle along Ugboke road in Ifon by some farmers and were later handed over to the police.
According to reports, one of their abductees who was released from their den about three weeks ago after a humongous amount of money was paid as ransom by his family members and friends had been able to identify one of the suspects. He said he was held hostage for about three days in the thick forest.
All the suspects have now been moved to the Owo Area Command for further investigation and while reacting to the report, a Federal Lawmaker from the constituency, Hon. Timehin Adelegbe while confirming the report said he had already reached out to the Police command in Owo and that they are on top of the case as he promised to follow up with the matter.
Meanwhile, a community leader in Ifon, Hon. Olaniyi Eni-Olotu has called on the security agencies to come to the rescue of the poor Ifon farmers who are now being terrorized daily by herders that have relocated to the Ifon forest reserve and free areas in large numbers, having been chased out of the neighboring States.
