Suspected bandits have attacked the Nigerian Army Post-Service Housing Scheme in Kurudu Estate.
According to Channels TV, the gunmen abducted three residents of the estate after sporadic gunshots.
Confirming the attack, the director of army public relations, Brigadier General Onyema Nwachukwu, told the TV station that the incident happened at about 9.00 p.m. on Thursday.
Residents of the estate said gunmen fired gunshots before escaping with their victims.
However, Mr Nwachukwu disclosed that the troops have responded to a distress call from the estate and are currently on a search and rescue operation.
