Popularly known as Otunba Owajalaye, Hon. Gbenga Adeniyi, died on Thursday in Akure, the state capital.
In his lifetime, Gbenga was a young business man and an astute politician, loved by all and sundry in both Ose and Ondo state.
Aged 44, he was born on 1st of May 1980, in Ute, Ondo State and died on 18th of April, 2024.
He had his education at Community High School, Lagos state, later moved to Ute High School. Ute in Ose local government area for his secondary education. He got admitted to Ambrose Ali Univeristy, Ekpoma, Edo state for his Higher School Education.
Hon. Gbenga Adeniyi’s foray in politics started rising as Special Assistant to Hon. Elepe Johnson, the former Chairman of Ose Local Council, before he was elected as Councilor in the PDP led government of former Governor Olusegun Mimiko trounced his closest rival.
When he was in the legislative house, he was the Majority Leader of the House and popular to the downtrodden.
He joined the political structure of Hon. (Dr.) Timehin Adelegbe, the lawmaker representing Owo/Ose Fed. Const., Abuja for his passion he had for the lawmaker. Gbenga became one of the most dependable and reliable allies in the structure.
Until his death, Hon. Gbenga Adeniyi was a special assistant to Hon. Adelegbe on Project Monitoring and he served meritoriously.
His dexterity and writing skill further placed him to function as one of the committed members of the media team at the Adelegbe Media Centre.
His popularity by teeming youth in Ose became a rally point.
He was survived by aged parents, wife and three children.
