Hon. (Dr.) Timehin Adelegbe, the lawmaker representing Owo/Ose Federal Constituency, Abuja, has felicitated Muslims in his constituency and other parts of the country as they celebrate Eid-El-Fitri, which marks the end of Ramadan.
The legislator in his Sallah message through his media aide Wale Akingbade to constituents on Wednesday in Abuja lauded Muslim faithfuls for their unwavering commitment, perseverance, and sacrifices throughout the sacred month of Ramadan, in adherence to the divine instructions of Almighty Allah. He urged them to continue living by the spiritual lessons of Ramadan.
Adelegbe who is a second term member of the national assembly urged Muslims to uphold virtues such as acts of kindness, love for others, fairness and self denial cultivated during the holy month.
He called on Muslims and adherents of other faiths to use the occasion of Eid-El-Fitri to offer prayers for Ondo state and the nation as it seeks solutions to its present challenges.
“As we celebrate the festive season, let us also remember to pray for the prosperity and well-being of our beloved state even as we prepare to enter in another political dispensation.
“In the spirit of unity and solidarity, I call upon all Nigerians to support the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR as the government makes efforts to end the prevailing economic hardship.
He added, “I will urge all Muslim faithful in my constituency, the entire Ondo state and Nigeria to emphasise the need for continued devotion to prayer and righteous living as essential components of spiritual growth and societal harmony.
“I also encourage my constituents to channel the goodwill and blessings of Ramadan towards fostering peace, unity, and development in Nigeria.’’
