More revelations have surfaced in the public domain about the political manipulation being carried out by the governor and his new adviser. It is on record that Mimiko, former governor of Ondo state detests Bola Ahmed Tinubu the most. His hatred for the president is unquantifiable.
You will recall that the president, Ahmed Tinubu, helped Mimiko to regain power during the 2007 governorship election in Ondo State, which he eventually got through judicial process. Thereafter, Mimiko became an emperor and never wanted to see Tinubu, his benefactor. In fact, he spat pepper in his eyes. Today, the same Mimiko is the one advising Lucky Ayedatiwa on what political steps to take under the leadership of Tinubu. What a tragedy?
Mimiko has shown in different dimensions that he is in charge. After all, Mimiko has achieved a few number of things within the spate of his intervention as an in-house adviser.
Mimiko advised Lucky to pick Olaide Adelami, a sworn enemy of Akeredolu, as the deputy. He is the deputy today. Mimiko also advised Lucky to appoint John Paul Akinduro, a known media aide to Mimiko for years, as the spokesperson to Adelami, the deputy governor.
Kayode Ajulo who worked assiduously for Yemi Osibajo during the APC presidential primary has emerged as commissioner in Ondo state as a result of Mimiko’s counsel.
Mimiko has evoked an aspect of 48 Laws of power: empower the enemies of your adversary, they will go all out to defend your interest. That is exactly what is playing out in Ondo state.
Mimiko has instructed his core supporters to support Lucky. Among them is Yetunde Adeyanju from Odigbo who was shown the way out of the cabinet by governor Akeredolu. Their agenda is that Either Lucky gets the ticket or not, they are moving out of the APC because of their political agenda which can’t be implemented without being independent.
Another twist to the story, it has been revealed that Ayedatiwa Lucky, Bunmi Ademosun, a.k.a “Iya Alagbo”, and Kayode Ajulo allegedly worked for Yemi Osibajo in the last APC primary. Bunmi Ademosun who coordinated for Yemi Osibajo in ondo state during the APC presidential primary plays a centre role in Lucky’s administration today. She is very prominent and critical in some vital decisions in the government. It is very obvious that birds of a feather flock together.
More revelation, it has been discovered that both Lucky Ayedatiwa and Mimiko worked for the PDP candidate, Bada, in the last House of Representatives by election in Akoko North West/ Akoko North East Federal Constituency in order to score a political point known to a blind man.
